Then do as DCFan suggested and install an 80mm computer fan, something relatively quiet but still 12V would probably be your best option. The 80mm Vantec Stealth runs at about 2000 RPM and is a pretty good balance. Quiet, but not so weak that the airflow is poor. But as he noted, it would take a goo...

Actually the advanced search functions of ebay allow you to search for recently ended auctions. I have used it to determine average selling price of something I am interested in. Since you can also search by seller, it shouldn't be a problem to see their recent history. I didn't know that. http://c...

Not only can you do it, but that is actually the entire procedure for it, word for word. You can also install glow plugs in any combustion engine that uses spark plugs, and it will produce 400% more horsepower and 800% more fuel economy, with no drawbacks. But you need to install them with heli coil...

Re: Howto fix my video cord...
So you all just don't say... Use the older cord... I would like to fix the newer cord as I have faith in this chinese product... You would rather use an inexpensive aftermarket cord instead of a perfectly good sega original? That's like me going outside and ripping the muffler off my Impala so I ca...

Some paint resists scratching better than others. My first car didn't have a clear coat, old school automotive paint was extremely durable. Modern cars use clearcoats which can often enhance appearance and protect the paint, but the clearcoat isn't all that tough either. It can become scratched pret...

In that case then possibly, but surely a CPU originally clocked at 200 couldnt go up to 324 even without restricions. Not all CPUs are the same. The SH4 in the DC puts out very little heat and has lots of headroom, even with other things holding it back. I am positive that if the CPU was the only l...

Actually the CPU upgrade for the Xbox does speed up certain commercial titles. It mainly aids homebrew, yes. But some commercial titles will be improve where they might normally suffer from slowdown caused by a heavy load on the CPU. But not really to the point where it matters - maybe if the GPU an...

Alexvrb, i think 324Mhz is just beyond the capabilities of the SH-4, possibly 300Mhz. But like you said there is so much other stuff holding it back in the DC, not to mention cooling, thats its just not possible in a Dreamcast, plus it's pointless If you had an SH4 in a board without restrictions l...

I'd bet in many cases the SH4 itself could make it to 324Mhz no problem - it's all the other things that hold you back. You can't even touch the multiplier or the voltages. Also, where does main memory get its clock? It really isn't feasible. 240Mhz is a good target, because pretty much every DC sho...

Most any decent marine/automotive grease should do though, I would think. You can pick up a little squeeze tube of white lithium grease (they also have aerosol cans of it, but you're just asking for a mess there) for a couple of bucks. Anyway yeah, sometimes the assembly gets stuck. As long as your ...
