... or maybe it's one of many ATi driver releases that are only buggy on certain cards but not others... or any other number of PC configuration problems.

Just wait until you're married, with kids. A year and six months from this Saturday. Well, except for the kids. :) I found all of my backups, and got a lot of the good stuff dumped to disk on my main workstation at home. There was a scare that the gen-emu code was lost forever (not gonna get into t...

I found half of the CDs. I'm still looking for more stuff. Repackaging it and making some of it appropriate for release will take a bit longer. Things haven't been going smoothly around here as of late.

Yeah that's how it goes. I spend all my time getting really hands-on raunchy with my axe these days. If I'm not, then I'm either 1) asleep, 2) passed out drunk, 3) getting really hands-on raunchy with my lady friend, 4) at work (this includes many a night spent afterhours to make changes that can't ...

Lol. I've been part of this real world for a while now. No welcoming necessary. Just trying to explain how 3 to 4 hours isn't all that great to whoever it was that commented on killing for it. Not married either, but I do have a girlfriend that's needy as all hell; a friend of mine just got married ...

It's 3 to 4 hours a day after: waking up at 5 am, showering, eating breakfast, getting on the highway and driving 35 miles to work, settling in to my cubicle to stare at my monitor blankly for 8 hours (nowadays I'm IRCing it up or posting here when I remember I'm still logged in, or surfing the ends...

Well, this weekend was a no-go. Friday night was a late practice. Saturday was a late morning (I was mad that I lost so many hours to sleep), a late business deal (much equipment was purchased and much money transferred) and a washed out block party (that I had to stay at until late evening). Sunday...

Hrm. Well Gen-emu is the one thing I *cant* release, due to the fact that it really was a joint project and the fact that I may want that code unspoiled for future use (like as an attachment to my resume). But as far as the other stuff goes, there's all sorts of random things. Lots of ports for one....

Lol. Hanging around... I can't even remember the last time I visited these boards, or posted here. I've got an asburd amount of self-esteem these days, and an even bigger ego than before ;) (this time around it's from my musical proficiency versus coding; my current bandmates are all 25+ years my se...

This place is still around? Who wants old useless source code to all past projects that haven't been looked at in months (short of Gen-emu)?

That last bit, about running slow, and buzzing sound, is why I never really got too much further with it. That, and I've been working full-time for a few months now (after finishing up with university finals and what not), and don't even want to see a computer after the 8 hours a day I spend in fron...

It's because reaper is regurgitating more things from an earlier post of mine coupled with some other stuff he trolled off of Google. He doesn't really know, and to say that most of us are still wondering at the differences between the GP32 and DC when it comes to speed vs CPU 'power' would be fairl...

Ian: just a quick note, a lot of those optimizations are really applicable to any processor that has a 32-bit word size. The ones you chose to post are really the simplest, basically, keep all your data in the native size, and you won't have to waste cycles converting it back and forth to do operati...

Raytracing != raycasting :P ... but yeah... raytracing has almost always been a software thing because graphics hardware hasn't been powerful enough or had the right features (until now, with the new highly programmable stuff) to do it...

Eh. It's supposed to be MHz the ARM9 needs to be clocked at to do the operations at full speed, followed by the percentage of CPU used on a 160MHz ARM9. I don't know how the hell it's only going to use 7% though.
