Re: Post your desktop thread

If I get the time, I may try adding some cool conky stuff. As it is, this is just my basic Linux desktop. I don't really mess around with my Window's desktop, leaving the only changes at wallpapers.

New Hypertension trailer released

Corbin of TDGMods has recently (okay almost a week ago  ) let us know of a new gameplay trailer being released. The trailer demonstrates the multi-player aspects of Hypertension that are currently being integrated into the upcoming release for the Sega Dreamcast, Windows, Linux, MacOSX, and...

Re: DreamSNES question

Yeah, the Dreamcast may be really old. The scene may be long gone in all practical sense, with the exception of a few devs that number less than the fingers on one hand. BUT... there is a new king of the hill concerning SNES emulation. Snes4All People can finally put their DreamSnes disc to rest wit...

Re: Hypertension [gameplay footage released!]

Looks nice, but I suppose the scope of a possible release has been pushed back? :|

Will the Dreamcast version of the engine ever be released on the Sourceforge site, and will it support the standard Doom wads if it is?

Re: Dreamcast Media Center

Edit;
The SD card options sound nice, but I'll not be able to get one anytime soon.

Will you still be implementing optimizations for non-sd users?

Re: Do NXDoom and/or Doom-for-DC support MAPINFO?

I just thought I'd mention that the NRFTL levels were present in the XBLA "demo" version.

I'm not sure what that means legally, but here are the instructions for whoever want to extract them from their demo/full XBLA archive.

Re: Dreamcast Media Center

What are the supported, or targeted for being supported, formats?

Mp3 is a given I suppose, and maybe ogg...

What about midi, chiptunes, or mod tracker formats?

Re: Do NXDoom and/or Doom-for-DC support MAPINFO?

Unfortunately, no. But even besides that, NRFTL's levels are the only official Doom 2 maps that aren't vanilla doom compatible. Meaning... that at a bare minimum, you'll need a limit-removing port along the lines of PrBoom just to load the maps. But even the PrBoom port, the most basic of the curren...

They actually have an English speaking sub-forum, and are quite friendly to non native speakers.

I'd be to embarrassed to try talking in Spanish as I would end up sounding like a first-grader.

But in the meantime, check your pms.

Re: Requesting a lost download if anyone has it....

It took me about two minutes to find out it was ported by Inkidet, and had this article here.

Per the articles instructions, I went to 'Descargas --> IberDC Team', and found this page here.

Re: Dreamcast question

Alcohol 120% may no longer be the best option for most. I've personally switched to the freeware ImgBurn. All you need is a single library file from Padus's site. Actually, you may even be able to use the one included with Bootdreams. It's worked great for the last ten, or so, cdi images I've burned...

I don't need you to write the code - I can handle that just fine - but from the point of view of someone putting together mods for the game, which would you like better? All of the ideas you proposed sound awesome of course. :o Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I started out with plenty of time to do ...
