Xbox games

I want at least 10 good games for my xbox before i decide if it is worthy of the money i'm spending or if i should just trade it for a GameCube.

I would take a Gamecube over an Xbox anyday, but thats not to say they aren't good. I haven't played that many games, but I plan on getting one in a few months. The games that I have played that are good are Halo, Splinter Cell, and Shenmue 2, and I am sure that there are better ones.

Problem with GC is Nintendo won't hardly lower the cost of any of the games on GC.

I'm trying to convience myself to get an Xbox, but the only games that I really want are...

Halo
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Crimson Skies
JSRF
Colin McRae
Splinter Cell
Mechassault
GUNVALKYRIE

and that's about it.

There are quite a few good games coming out this year:

Star Wars: KOTOR
Perfect Dark Zero
Deus Ex 2
Doom 3
Driver 3
Ninja Gaiden
Banjoo Kazooie 3
Conker's Other Bad Fur Day
Fable
Soul Calibur 2
WWE Raw 2 (I hate wrestling games apart from No Mercy but others are probably excited about it)
Mafia
Rayman 3
Return to Castle Wolfenstien
Sam & Max 2
PGR 2
Kameo: Elements of Power
Dead or Alive: Code Chronos

A lot of them are appearing on other formats though but a few of them are exclusive to the Xbox(unless you have high end PC, then it's basically just PGR and the Rare games)

Yeah they will sooner or latter they only kept prices on the high side with the n64 was because it was cartridge based, but as for xbox compared to gamecube I would go with xbox dude.

There are other good games for the Xbox like:

Genma Onimusha

Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams

Dead or Alive 3

Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Plus, PSO will be comming out eventually on Xbox.

Also, I have read that the attach rate for 3rd party games is the highest for the Xbox. What that means is that if the same game is available on all 3 consoles, multi-console owners are buying these games more often on the Xbox than for the others. I just bought Genma Onimusha, Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, and Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance instead of their PS2 counterparts, and I don't even own an Xbox yet.

A good gamer is a balanced gamer. So, you should just keep your Xbox, but save up for a Game Cube. Both systems are great in their own right.

I thought attach rate meant number of games purchased along with the actual console; ie, bundles.

I was sure when a multiformat release came out the PS2 easily outsold all other versions consistently

Just get the PC version of this one, it's far better, sound advice for all console owners.

True, I now have all 3 current systems and enjoy them all, & look for a second hand Cube to save yourself some money.

I left it off because it's not coming out here till 2004 but yes Americans will get it December this year probably.

Such a shame we won't get it when they do..Though teh American release is set for befre christmas I think, so it's possible they'll release it before christmas here too.
