Scooby Doo

I for one am in to cartoons, and I like Scooby Doo a lot, but when I watched the new ones yesterday, they had the band simple plan playing in their. They were just cartoonized, and singing, and playing. Seriously, whatever hapenned to the old Scooby Doo's? Where they would do something, find some monster, do some crazy hi-jinks, catch the guy, and pull the mask off. I miss those episodes. Sigh.

Having bands and other celebrity cameos in Scooby Doo is nothing new (quite old, actually), and having Simple Plan in an episode is just continuing that tradition of sorts.

As for how to see the older Doo episodes, you used to be able to see them on Cartoon Network (either early afternoon or early morning around 1 or 2 am). But now, they've expanded their lineup so that they can fill up time slots with more recent stuff. You may have to check local station listings or see if you get the Boomerang channel (Cartoon Network's classic animation division).

I love Boomerang. In addition to old Scooby Doo cartoons, they also show "a pup named scooby doo" and the pacman cartoon.

It is a shame though cat that with directv you ahve to pay more to get Boomerang; kinda blows....

all cartoons suck ass these days, what happened to the good stuff like swatcats, rockos modern life, captain planet,ect. its either overprocessed remakes or chopped up japanese cartoons...what a sad world we live in

Agreed. I rather dislike the japanese feel to both the Mega Man Nt Warrior and Sonic X cartoons.

Well I think Sonic is better in the japanese style (being from japan) the whole Chili dog thing ...uhhh

well any way i agree cartoon today sucks, a lot of shows have extremely poor animation when technology makes it EASY today to make it good, everything also has to be politcally correct... good ol loony tunes was entertaining... Adult Swim is something good... but we'll see how that ends up

and WTF was that about captain planet being good?

Swatcats was freaking Awesome!!!!

I used to watch it like everyday....

Yeah, cartoons today suck... Its either pure crap or butchered, badly dubbed anime...
I need to get space ghost coast to coast on dvd.. that show was awesome... I'd always go to my friends house on the weekend, stay the night and watch it...

I miss the good old days.. most of whats on tv now sucks...

Although i do like Fairly oddparents...
But spongebob is just retarded...

They need to bring back all those old sonic the hedgehog and super mario cartoons, excluding the super mario super show.....

Since all sonic and mario games are being preserved with compilation games, why can't they bring these back? Or at least bring some of them on dvd?

I find some Spongebob episodes to be funny, but the new ones they have been showing lately show complete lack of originality...and good writing, imo...

I hate how robotnik is called eggman, so as far as the videogames go I wish they were still in the american style. The shows have always sucked though.

The Sonic cartoon that was used to be on saturday mornings, not that adventures of sonic the hedgehog crap, was nicely done....Jaleel White was a terrible voice for sonic, imo.

Remember the Donkey Kong cartoon that used to air on Fox? That lasted for about a week before it got redundant......

Ascin: most of those cartoons, except for swatcats which I've never heard of, are on cable or satellite....

Swatcats is awesome.

I liked Invader Zim, but it was scrapped.

Spongebob in Nickelodeon on crack.

Scrappy is gay, I hated shows with him in it.

The donkey kong show was gay.

Only thing I watch now is YUGIOH! Only because I have no cable. Its way better than pokemon, and right before That 70's show.

Speaking of which, what happened to That 80's Show and That 60's Show?
