I'm pretty sure CvS2:EO is a GC exclusive... trust me, PS2 owners will be better off with the 'vanilla' CvS2 - all the EO version adds is a "GCism" fighting style where you pull off moves just by pushing a direction with the C-stick rather than using any skill...Ebichu wrote:Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO for PS2 and GameCube
Obviously this is to compensate for the so-not-designed for fighting games GC controller - theres also an option to have the trigger buttons as analogue punch / kick buttons, like the always - broken pressure sensitive original Street Fighter Arcade machines.
Good news for SNES fans comes in the GBA lineup at E3... and some frankly gorgeous 2D screens show what power the worlds favorite handheld still has to offer...
Legend Of Zelda GBA
The Legend of Zelda GBA is not one, but two Zelda games. It contains the complete SNES version of A Link to the Past - as a standalone one-player game - in which Link sets out to find the Master Sword, then travels to the Dark World to face Ganon and restore peace to the land of Hyrule.
Link looking a lot like Noddy, earlier today
The second game on the cart is an all-new multiplayer-only game, in which two-to-four players take part via a link cable. Co-operation is vital, as you fight back-to-back with your buddies, and tackle puzzles that simply can't be solved alone. There is the opportunity for backstabbing, though, as you scramble to pick up more Rupees to get better scores than your buddies
Yoshis Island (Yay! )
Yoshi's Island is the latest inhabitant of the Mushroom Kingdom to star in his own game. He's up against Kamek, a magikoopa, who has attempted to kidnap a pair of twins, but only managed to get away with one. Yoshi needs to reunite them, and has a set of moves to enable him to do just that, including laying eggs, eating enemies, and throwing eggs using a targeted egg-throwing system.
Ride 'em Mario! Giddyap!
Morph bubbles scattered around the land enable Yoshi to transform into other characters with special abilites, such as a mole that can dig its way around the island, or a helicopter that can get to previously unreachable places. Plus, find all the stars, coins and flowers on a level to unlock some very cool secrets...
Golden Sun 2 - not a huge surprise to anyone who played through the original
Acclaimed hand-held role-playing game, Golden Sun, has spawned a sequel. Golden Sun: The Lost Age takes over where the original left off, with the characters from the original game regrouping to try and prevent the destruction of their world. The story will be far more expansive than Golden Sun, with countless plot twists and turns as the group grows ever closer to releasing alchemy - with all its potential benefits and perils - on the land.
nominated for Most Boring RPG Screen 2002
There will be new characters to meet along the journey - some who'll join your party adding their unique abilities, Djinn to master for use in battle and solving puzzles, a greater emphasis on Psyenergy-based action puzzles, and more exciting action outside of battle sequences when compared to standard, menu-based role-playing games.
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Fusion marks a welcome return of the classic shoot-'em-up. Developed by the team that worked on the original games, the game will offer the fantastic style of exploration and the same control that defined the series, but with many new items, elements and weapons, plus new mysteries and a dramatic storyline that gradually unfolds during the course of the game.
Eerily familiar looking Spaceship
And what can we deduce from this screen shot of everybodys favorite pink marshmallow?
KIRBY! KIRBY! KIRBY!
I'll post a big list of Sega titles later, assuming nobody beats me to it - but they have some 'biggies' on display, including
Crazy Taxi 3 (Xbox)
Shinobi (PS2)
and
Shining Soul (GBA)
oh, and in case I forget - SONY ONLINE BY SEPTEMBER IN US
Sony also confirmed that their network adaptor will be launched in the US in 27 August and will allow for both broadband and modem connections. Significantly, Sony are taking a differing approach to Microsoft and, rather than only allowing gamers to go online via their own network, the PS2 network will allow connection to any Internet Service Provider.
A special start-up disc will be supplied with the adaptor, giving gamers a selection of ISPs as well as demos of Time Splitters 2, Tribes: Aerial Assault, Frequency 2 and Madden NFL 2003.
Other online launch game will be ATV Offroad Fury 2, Twisted Metal Black Online, Everquest, SOCOM: US Navy Seals and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.

NiGHTS on GBA!
There's loads of stuff thats been shown like NiGHTS on GBA:
Other great stuff on GBA such as Donkey Kong +, and the GBA camera (game-eye i think it's called) it has GC-GBA linkup so you can use your face in games on the GC)
Arctic Feather
The game is, essentially, a 2D conversion of the 3D game released on the Saturn system several years ago. The GBA version features scrolling bitmap backgrounds instead of a full polygonal world, but the flying action was pretty faithfully converted on the digital GBA pad.

Re: E3 thread
Preview of Deus Ex 2 development, care of IGN.
Apparently, they've just now gotten the rendering engine up and running, and haven't even really started on the graphics.
I don't know whether to be disappointed or excited by the fact that it isn't as finished as I'd like to see for a showing at E?, either disappointed that it will still be some time before it is done, or excited about just HOW much work has allready been put into other aspects of the game.
xbox article is the same as the PC, but it does have a few images you can't find on the PC article.

Re: NiGHTS on GBA!
Looks like it was probably snapped with a camera pointed at a big projection screen playing video, MAYBE real-time play...liltimmyw wrote:thats a bad picturearcticfeather wrote:

That's probably the best shot they got of it, if not the only one.liltimmyw wrote: i know, but i cant belive that IGn would post such a horrible pic
A 2D remake of a 3D Saturn game on a gameboy? Oh yeah, IGN would've been really excited about that one as they rushed over to the booth of the latest hottest new game of the minute.
