what widget set would you reccomend?

what widget set would you reccomend?

meh... Im looking for simplistic code that wont take 3 years to learn (unlike the winAPI) and cross-compatibility with linux and OSX...

I was thinking gtk first, but then wxWidgets... Im not exactly sure which way I should turn on this...

wxwidget is good for cross platform, but c++ only and I don't know if you can use glade with it.
