Newbie question, searched forum no luck

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Newbie question, searched forum no luck

No matter what I burn (emu's, backups, etc) my dreamcast will try to read the CD as an audio CD. Is this because I'm burning it wrong, or because my DC is not compatible? I've burned at 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 650 meg cd's, 700 meg cd's, it's driving me nuts. The date of my DC is September 2000. Thanks for the help!

Try burning images with DiscJuggler or Nero. If that doesn't work, you're most likely incompatible.

I burned everything with DiscJugger 3.5 and I tried Nero 5.5(?) a few times also, same results. The only thing so far that I've gotten the DC to run is the Utopia Boot CD, I'll try to find a DC that plays CDR's with no problem to test some of the emu's I burned.
