Need a Peer to Peer!

Looking for a p2p program sans (minus) the spyware and possible viruses. I just fixed my ancient PIII 450 which took a week and I really dont feel like going through that hassle again.

Soulseek works great for me. No ads, no spyware/adware, no viruses.

Soulseek is awsome, thanks. Btw, Dc++ is garbage now. Constant crashes, buggy glitches, missing hubs, misleading files, etc have brought it down a couple notches.

I'm assuming you basically want a program to be able to download anything you want (music, videos, games). Here's a list of what I use

* BitTornado
* eMule
* GoSuperNova (search engine program for supernova)
* Kazaa Lite K++
* SoulSeek
* mIRC (SysReset is a barebones but very effective and nice script)
* Xnews (Usenet)
* SmartFTP (it's only an FTP client, but I included it since it seems like a lot of people out there use crap and have trouble connecting to FTPs)

i mainly use DC++, but ever since the main hublist went offline it has been brought down a bit indeed, less hubs and with the latest update, many hubs use stupid registration passwords and all, wich i dont like

BitTorrent. across multiple trackers i was able to download 2 400MB+ torrents and got 40% done with a 2.1GB torrent in 1 1/2 hours. better than any other p2p protocol ive seen (other than IRC and newsgroups, but they arent p2p :D)
