Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

choppy dreamsnes

Post by shez »

i got dreamsnes working and playing in my dreamcast. my only question is the games play alittle choppy and i'm not sure if its because of the amount of roms i have on it or if its something else. i would say there is about 70 roms on it. any thing would help greatly, thanks

The emulation isn't perfect, I'm afraid.

Some games run almost exactly as they did on the SNES, whilst others suffer from quite a bit of slowdown. I seem to remember Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario World and the Donkey Kong games running particularly well, though.

yeah i haven't had time to sit down and really test a lot of the games, but i've tried mario kart, mario all stars and kirby and they seemed to be slightly slow. but hey it works awesome and maybe i just have to get used to the snes speed in general again..
