I'm looking forward to it. It looks like Ubisoft are going to be using the engine they showed off for Assasin's Creed.

I always secretly preferred Splinter Cell to MGS anyway

Wow, that does look so good, with this and COD4 it looks like the 360 is showing everyone it has not hit it's limit yet (What most PS3 Fanboys where trying to say with the release of Gears Of War).

And yes i always liked the Splinter Cell games better then MGS too.

I seem to recall Ubisoft releasing similarly impressive-looking "in-game" screenshots of Red Steel. :?

Red Steel screen shots always looked like a ps2 game and thats what youc an keep excepting the wii as. A cheap source to dump half assed crappy looking games. By being the weakest and "not about graphics" you get screwed into game that look worth shit cause no one wants to put effort into graphics on a non graphical system.

Meh, they're really starting to whore out the franchise. Luckily this one looks quite a bit different than the last four.

So... not sure what your point is here...
All PS2 games look like shit the very second the 360 was releeased?
That most developers haven't made much of an effort on Wii so far, therefore it is impossible that any will make any effort at all in the future?
That a thread about Splinter Cell 5 is synonymous with bashing the Wiis graphics?

This is an odd numbered Splinter Cell, so it must be good.

Sam Fisher really let himself go. Is he a homeless alcoholic or something these days?

He becomes a fugitive running from the US Government. You won't have any government support in this game at all. That's why he looks so rough, he's constantly on the run.

I'm just saying why do people except anything out of the wii at all? No ones gonna try to devolope high end looking games for it. BTW red steel does pretty much look like the in the actual game except for the textures on his jacket were no where near as good. The game has moments where it looks fantastic then moments where it simply looks like crap.

Not to needlessly pick holes in the game's premise, but I once bought a packet of 20 disposable razors for 99p.

But this is the US government, they can trace you via your coins. Within 10 seconds of you buying those razors, the cash register will be beaming your DNA to the Pentagon.
